Happy Times!
We have had a very busy and fun few weeks! We got to do our first Renegades show of the season, and it
was a big success! Thanks to all my friends that came out and cheered us on, I really appreciate your support.
We also had some house guests. Our great friend Miyuki brought two girls in from Japan for a dog training internship.
They stayed at our house and worked with our dogs everyday. The girls (Hilomi, and Shukuyo) asked me to give them some
frisbee lessons in their off time. They practiced every chance they had, and it showed. We took them to a competition
in Wallingford Ct. and they both made the cut (top 18 out of 45!) and Hilomi placed second in the novice division with Java!
That was one of the highlights of their visit for me. I also enjoyed the great dinner they made for us (Okinamiyaki,
an Osaka specialty sort of like a savory pancake).
Hilomi and Shukuyo both plan on playing frisbee back in
Osaka. I hope they do. Thanks for a great time, we are all looking forward to seeing you again!
